Ikeja Electricity Distribution Plc, Nigeria's largest power distribution network, came into existence on November 1st, 2013 following the handover of the defunct Power Holding Company Of Nigeria (PHCN) to NEDC/ KEPCO Consortium under the privatization scheme of the Federal Government.



The consortium has the Korean Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) which generates about 84,000MW in capacity and has a global efficiency record of a maximum down time period of slightly above three minutes annually as technical partners.

This partnership has positioned IE to effectively drive its commitment to deliver efficient and sustainable power supply through investments in new technology, infrastructure upgrade and human capital development.

We are recruiting to fill the position of:

Job Title: Revenue Assurance Lead

Location: Lagos

Role Accountabilities

Assist with detecting areas of high financial leakages and design appropriate strategies to enforce compliance with operational process affecting revenue
Assist with carrying out periodic Quality Assurance (QA) on revenue protection processes and recommend improvement opportunities
Liaise with relevant units and departments in confirming the integrity and assurance of Energy Received by the Disco
Conduct assurance on invoice sent by the market operator
Perform assurance test on energy shared across feeders, Business Units and Undertakings
Perform Quality Assurance on revenues billed across business units
Assist with conducting periodic review of standard operating process within entire revenue value chain
Perform revenue assurance test on revenue and billing activities
Access structures put in place to detect and avoid energy theft
Develop and effect strategies required to reduce revenue leakage
Assist in effecting strategies required to boost revenue and increase collection efficiency.


Experience & Qualifications
5+ years working experience (commercial experience is an added advantage).
Prior working experience in a utility company.
B.Sc in any of Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Business Administration or Engineering field. Professional qualification is desirable.
Age: Not more than 40 years.
Skills & Competencies
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Access
Usage of Relevant Revenue Assurance Software
Analytics and Report Writing Skills.
Good Communication Skills.
Knowledge of NERC/collections regulations and guidelines.
Personal Qualities
Self-motivated with ability to lead and take ownership and responsibility
Ability to multi-task, work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
Fast learner, energetic and enthusiastic
Adaptable to flexible business demands.


Job Title: Revenue Mobilization Lead

Location: Lagos

Role Accountabilities 
Assist with reducing collection losses within the organization
Assist with reviewing and developing strategies for increasing collection
Assist with ensuring revenue mobilization resources are adequate and effective in driving collection
Periodic review of targets set for each Business Unit and Undertakings
Periodic assessment and review of all payment channels across the network
Review, assessment and monitoring of disconnection activities within the network
Ensuring Business Units and Undertakings possess the right reports required to drive collection
Assist with developing and implementing a robust debt recovery strategy
Monitoring and assessment of debtor profile and behavior
Identify collection gaps and recommend strategies for mitigating collection risks
Skills & Competencies
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Access
Usage of Relevant Revenue Assurance Software
Analytics and Report Writing Skills.
Good Communication Skills
Knowledge of NERC/collections regulations and guidelines

Job Title: Revenue Monitoring Lead

Location: Lagos 

Role Accountabilities 
Assist with planning, allocating and monitoring collection activities across all Business Units
Develop effective reporting tools that help drive and monitor collection activities
Perform periodic trend analysis for revenues and energy billed to the company and Business Units
Review IE's energy viz a viz energy supplied to BU's with a view to optimizing revenue mix
Monitoring revenue and collection of significant MD, Prime and non-MD Customers
Monitoring payment plans of both post and pre-paid debtors
Reviewing all pre-billing activities across BU's and estimated billing procedures are effective at reducing commercial and collection losses
Access tools and infrastructures used for reporting payment platforms
Assist with developing strategies that help detect energy thieves
Monitoring targets set for conversion of latent customers across of Business Units
Skills & Competencies:
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Access
Usage of Relevant Revenue Assurance Software
Analytics and Report Writing Skills.
Good Communication Skills
Knowledge of NERC/collections regulations and guidelines.
