Bayela Poll: PDP Is Buying PVCs, APC Alleges...
The All Progressives Congress in Bayelsa has accused the Peoples Democratic Party in the state of allegedly inducing rural dwellers  with money in exchange for their Permanent Voter’s Cards.

This accusation was made by Sylva/Igiri campaign organization in a statement by its director of Media and Publicity; Nathan Egba, on Thursday, November 26, saying that available information showed that the PDP have been allegedly exchanging voters cards with money.

Egba stressed that the most worrisome part of his  the exchange of PVCs of innocent rural dwellers’ for one thousand naira.

He said:  “In many cases, the PDP government’s agents have been in the habit of collecting PVC numbers of innocent women who are lured to attend the Governor’s Wife’s programmes with financial inducements.

“The pertinent question is, what they want to do with other people’s PVCs or their PVC numbers.”

The campaign spokesman frowned at the current situation in the state where PDP stalled the collection of PVCs who he said were in the hand of PDP ward coordinators across the state.

Egba pointed out further that most of the cards that were collected belong to ghost voters that were staged managed by the PDP ward leaders in the state.

He went further to alleged that the  fraud was being sponsored by the state government during the recent Voters Registration update.

“We are raising all these issues in order to alert the security agencies and INEC to the various ways and means the PDP intends to use in rigging the forthcoming governorship elections in Bayelsa State,” the spokesman said.

Meanwhile, former militant chief, Ekpemupolo, commonly called ‘General’ Tompolo, had been warned by a former Niger Delta militant leader in Bayelsa state, Africanus Ukparasia, ‘General Africa’ to stay clear of Bayelsa politics.
