Rep Urges Support for Buhari, Empowers Constituents

Member of the Federal House of Representatives, Hon. Ayodele Joseph, representing Apapa Federal Constituency, has expressed hope in the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari to bring about the desired change in the nation's economy.

Joseph, a member, House Committee on Ports, Harbours and Waterways, spoke during maiden Town Hall Meeting and distribution of empowerment items to 70 beneficiaries in Apapa constituency.

Some of the items include: Block molding machines, hairdryers, power- generating sets, commercial motorcycles, called "Okoda," commercial tricycles, called, "Marwa," sewing machines, among others.

Speaking at the meeting with the theme: "Sustaining the change agenda through empowerment", the lawmaker stressed the need to empower indigent people through meaningful and practical means.

According to Joseph, "The path to destruction might be swift and devastating but the process of reconstruction is usually rigorous and tasking, and might seem slow. That is similar to what we are going through as a nation. I therefore, implore you all to keep up the faith and be patient to reap the fruits of this administration."

Our determination to pull through together must remain unshaken. Our continued support for the present administration at the Federal and state levels is crucial if we must harvest the fruits of change. The light at the end of the tunnel, beckons."

On the empowerment programme, Joseph said, "I believe in the old Chinese adage, that says, teach me how to fish and don't give me fish to eat. This is the best form of empowerment to me."

He commended the leaders, party chieftains and members of All Progressives Congress, APC, for their supports and affording him the privilege to represent them at the federal level and assured not to fall short of their trust.
