David Mark’s ex-media adviser joins race for PDP National Publicity Secretary

A former Editor of ThisDay, Kola Ologbondiyan, has joined the race for the National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

A statement by Ologbondiyan’s campaign organisation said: “With his professional expertise and wealth of political experience, Ologbondiyan’s entrance into the race has raised the bar for the contest for the specialized position which requires high-level cognate professional proficiency.

“Ologbondiyan grew through the ranks in his professional and political callings. He was Group Political Editor of ThisDay Newspapers and as a correspondent, covered several high profile political beats including, the Presidency, National Assembly, State Government Houses and political parties.

“A graduate of the University of Lagos, Ologbondiyan is well-versed in Nigerian political evolution with strong institution memory of activities of the PDP.

“Ologbondiyan brings to the table his vast knowledge, goodwill and contacts in both the media and political circles. He has been a loyal and active participant in PDP activities and contested the party’s House of Representatives primaries in 2011.
