Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger took it upon himself to tackle Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini as the tension increased at Old Trafford on Sunday.

Van Persie didn't hold back after scoring against his old club

Wenger's side were losing 1-0 as time started to run out and Fellaini held onto the ball after it had ran out of play.

Clearly frustrated, the Frenchman stuck in a foot in an attempt to steal the ball away from a bemused Fellaini who was trying to run the clock down.


 Robin van Persie claimed the winning goal against his old club to bring United within five points of the Gunners.

The game also saw a nasty collision between Nemanja Vidic and David de Gea which forced the United defender to come off at half-time.

Arsenal will still head into the forthcoming international break at the top of the Premier League, but their confidence may have been knocked after being beaten by David Moyes' men.
