A member of the National Assembly from Zamfara State, Alhaji Bello Matawalle Maradun, has distributed no fewer than 1,200 rams worth N28 million to the needy across his constituency.
Maradun, who represents the Bakura/Maradun Constituency in the House of Representatives is also a governorship aspirant under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the state.

Speaking in an interview with Vanguard shortly after the presentation ceremony, he said that the gesture was aimed at assisting the less privileged ones in the society to enable them join millions of their brothers and sisters in celebrating the Muslim Eid-el-Kabir.
According to him, the donation of the rams was not limited to his constituency alone as other parts of the state were taken into consideration.
