The suspects were arrested for various offences, including robbery, kidnapping, cultism and illegal possession of arms were paraded by officers of the State Command at the force headquarters in Asaba, the Delta State’s capital in south-south Nigeria.
Briefing reporters after the parade on Saturday, the Commissioner of Police, Alkali Usman, reeled out the offences for which the suspects were arrested.
He also noted that the command had made some impressive recoveries and recorded a couple of achievements.
The feats also included the rescue of kidnap victims, recovery of stolen vehicles, weapons and ammunition from the suspected criminals.
Mr Usman maintained that the command was committed to making the state safe for all residents of the state, reiterating that the police had zero tolerance for crime in the state.
However, he called for the people’s support, urging them to give the police useful and timely information about criminals and their hideouts.
