The senate on Tuesday asked the first female ministerial nominee, Khadija Abba Ibrahim, out of the four female ministers to be appointed by President Muhammadu Buhari to bow and go.
Four female nominees have so far been screened at the senate since last week .
The other female nominees that have been screened since the commencement of screening are Amina Muhammed, Kemi Adeosun and Aisha Alhassan.
The senate cheered for ministerial nominee and former member of house of representatives, Khadijah Abba Ibrahim as soon as she was introduced by the senate president, Bukola Saraki.
The senate again also cheered Mrs Ibrahima as she was giving her introductory speech when she specially thanked her husband, a serving senator, Bukar Abba Ibrahim who could not hide his excitement as he was laughing on his seat.
She also gave special thanks to Ahmed Lawan representing Yobe North senatorial district.
The only female nominee left is Aisha Abubakar who has a pending petition challenging her nomination .
Also, Adebayo Shittu was screened while Claudius Omoyele Daramola who was supposed to be screened was not screened. The senate has however adjourned plenary till Wednesday, October 21.
Rotimi Ameachi was again excluded from the list of those to be screened by the Senate today. The senate only screened three ministerial nominees today.
