Governor Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State, on Wednesday, gave his assent to a bill seeking for the amendment of the Rivers State High Court Law, 2001 earlier passed into law by the House of Assembly.

The governor gave his assent to the law at around 7.00 p.m after the state legislature had forwarded it to him.
