APC Dumped US After Victory, APC Chief Cries Out

A stalwart of the All Progressives Congress in Bauchi state has disclosed how the party used him and other loyalists  to get into power and dumped them afterward.

The said chieftain, Bappah Mohammed Tafida Hardawa  accused Governor Mohammed Abubakar of the state for  allegedly using and dumping him and other party faithful in the state after his victory at the last general elections, Daily Trust reports.

He expressed his displeasure when he spoke to newsmen on Wednesday, November 18 in Bauchi.

Hardawa explained that party loyalists were dumped after working for the ruling party in the state stating that they never benefited from neither appointments nor job from the government.

He said:  “From my understanding, party is the mother of all members despite your position. But, the fact is that all those that submitted themselves and worked for the victory of the party in the last general elections have not been carried along.

“Right from the inception of the merger, we have been part of the movement and we remained loyal to the party. Yet, the party and the government ignored us. They only go with those that are not party members.”

The party chief noted that those worked hard for the emerged of the APC should not be wallowing in abject poverty noting that the essence of democracy is all about giving dividend to the people.

He pleaded with the governor and the party’s leaders in the state not to forget those that worked for it emergence and carry them along, warning that there might be a grave consequences for the party if it neglects those that worked of its victory.

Meanwhile,the Peoples Democratic Party had linked the assassination attempt on the life of the deputy president of the Senate, Ike Ekweremadu APC.

The PDP publicity secetary Olisa Metuh said the era of political assassination had returned to Nigeria.
