2015 Elections: Buhari Exposes PDP's Plot

The All Progressive Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (rtd), has disclosed what the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) is plotting for the March 28 Presidential elections.

Buhari alleged that the PDP has trained thugs, who they will distribute fake police uniforms to on elections day to intimidate the electorate, Leadership reports.

According to Buhari, who spoke with Hausa service of the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), they received the information from some states.

TAN rally shuts down commercial activities in Lagos

The Transformation Ambassadors of Nigeria, TAN,  yesterday, shut down  commercial activities in major markets across Lagos as a result of its mega rally convened for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential candidate, President Goodluck Jonathan.

The event, which held at the National Stadium, attracted people from all parts of the state including representatives of  professional groups, traders and artisans.

Speaking at the forum, National Vice Chairman of TAN, Dr Ifeanyi Ubah said  the gathering was convened to tell Nigerians that there is no vacancy  in Aso Rock till 2019.

Breaking News: Governor Rochas Okorocha Escapes Death

A major disaster was averted yesterday in Imo state as a pedestrian bridge built by Governor Rochas Okorocha at Heroes’ Children’s Park collapsed while the governor was on the bridge.

According to 247Nigeriannews, the incident happened when the governor stopped over on his way to the Nigerian Union of Journalists Governorship Debate to interact with some students of Development Comprehensive Secondary School, Owerri, who were around the park when he came.

Trouble however started when Okorocha beckoned on the students to climb the bridge so he could teach and inspire them on how to become leaders.

Buhari’s eligibility suit suffers setback as Court adjourned all suits to April 22

A Federal High Court in Abuja has adjourned all the suits challenging the eligibility of presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari,till April 22 and 23, 2015.

Justice Adeniyi Ademola fixed the date after he dismissed applications by two intended parties to join the suit as defendants.

Judge orders NCC, telecoms firms to pay APC N500m

A Federal High Court in Lagos has ordered the Nigerian Communications Commission and five others to pay the All Progressives Congress a sum of N500m over unlawful shutting down of its presidential campaign fund-raising platform.
Apart from NCC, the other judgment debtors are Etisalat, MTN Nigeria Limited, Globacom Limited, Airtel Nigeria Limited and Visafone Communications Limited.

Court to Hear Suit Challenging Buhari’s Qualification Expeditiously

A Federal High Court in Abuja has ruled that all applications filed in the matter seeking to disqualify the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Major-General Muhammadu Buhari from contesting the presidential election on Saturday will be heard alongside the substantive suit.
The suit was filed by Mr. Chukwunweike Okafor, an Abuja-based legal practitioner.

In deciding to hear all pending applications with the substantive suit, Justice Adeniyi Ademola upheld the arguments of the plaintiff’s lawyer, Chief Mike Ozekhome (SAN).
