CDS Urges Nigerians To Be Conscious As Boko Haram Aims At soft Targets

The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Abayomi Olonisakin has urged Nigerians to be security conscious towards averting suicide bombing on soft target by Boko Haram terrorists.

Olonisakin stated this in Abuja at the 2015‎ Nigerian Navy Research and development seminar, with the theme; ‘Innovation and Research and Development (R&D): Turning Bright Ideas to Operational Solutions’.

He attributed the high rate of soft target bombings by the Boko Haram insurgents being witnessed in the past couple of months, to the increase pressure on the insurgents in the North-eastern part of the country.

BREAKING NEWS! Female Suicide Bombers Attack Maiduguri Again, 22 Confirmed Dead

No fewer than 22 people have been confirmed dead following a Boko Haram attack on a community in Maiduguri, the Borno state capital.

According to Vanguard, the attack was carried out by three female suicide bombers, who detonated their bombs in the community this morning.

The bombers reportedly attacked the Umarari Bayan Waya area of Mulai Village in Maiduguri with Improvised Explosive Devices (IED), injuring 17 others injured.
