Trekking from Enugu to Umuahia was my toughest task in Army – IBB

Former Nigeria military President Ibrahim Babangida has said that his toughest encounter in the army was trekking from Enugu to Umuahia where he sustained injury during the Nigeria civil war. Buhari orders NNPC to commence oil exploration in Benue trough

President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, to commence the search for crude oil and other hydrocarbon exploratory activities in the Benue Trough. PDP, not APC caused hardship to Nigerians, says Oshiomhole

Gov. Adams Oshiomhole of Edo on Tuesday said the present hardship being experienced by Nigerians was as a result of misrule of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Oshiomhole stated this at a campaign rally of the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Mr Godwin Obaseki, at Ikhin and Amoya, both in Owan East Local Government Area of the state. He said that PDP leadership used the funds meant for the development of the country to line their pockets. He appealed to the people to be patient as President Mohammudu Buhari-led government was working hard to fix the problems.

Customer charged for assaulting salesgirl over N400 fried meat

 The police on Tuesday, charged a dealer in fairly used clothes (tokunbo) Sharon Okafor, 22, before a Lagos Magistrate’s Court sitting at Igbosere, for allegedly cutting a salesgirl in the face with broken ceramic plates during a disagreement over payment for drinks and N400 fried meat. Okafor, who resides at 24, Ilasan Village, Lekki, is facing a count charge of assault preferred against him by the police.

Nigeria Oil Losses Reach 900,000 Bpd Due to Militant Attacks

Nigeria’s losses in daily oil production due to militant attacks have hit 900,000 barrels, said Petroleum Minister Ibe Kachikwu, speaking to CNN.
