Suicide bomber kills civillian JTF in Maiduguri

A suicide bomber in a bus killed one member of Nigeria’s civilian joint task force (JTF) at the main checkpoint on the outskirts of the northeastern city of Maiduguri on Monday, military and JTF sources said.

There was no immediate claim for the attack but it bore the hallmarks of Islamist militant group Boko Haram. Maiduguri, the state capital of Borno, is the birthplace of the jihadi sect.

A social crusader and rights activist. Mr. Ebunolu-Olu Adegboruwa has described President Mu­hammadu Buhari’s failure to appoint ministers as un­constitutional.

He hinged this on the fact that the 1999 constitution ex­pressly states that the Presi­dent shall appoint ministers with whom he shall hold meetings regularly.

Adegboruwa spoke at the Provincial men’s convention of the Redeemed Christian Church (Lagos Province 22) Ikorodu Lagos held at the weekend.
