BREAKING: Atiku to PDP - Atiku Set To Dump APC For PDP, As 11 Powerful Lawmakers Defect With Immediate Effect..
The former Governor of Kano State, Rabiu Kwankwaso, has defected from the ruling All Progressives Congress, to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
According to Vanguard, the former Presidential aspirant left the party along with 10 Kano Lawmakers, on Tuesday.
This comes one year after the APC leadership in Kano State, initiated moves to suspend Kwankwaso, over what it called anti-party activities.
Earlier on Monday, a Chieftain of the PDP in Kano, Alhaji Musa Iliyasu, said Kwankwaso was set to return to the party.The APC Chairman in Kano, Haruna Doguwa, had said Kwankwaso allegedly exhibited actions capable of compromising the party’s unity.
Iliyasu added, that reliable sources confirmed to him that Kwankwaso had been contacting the national body of the PDP, about his return to the party.
“I heard from reliable sources that the former Governor, is planning to dump APC for another party before the 2019 general elections, and most likely he is coming back to PDP,” he said
