The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has concluded arrangements to declare the impeached Governor of Adamawa State, Murtala Nyako, wanted.

The Head of Media and Publicity of the EFCC, Mr. Wilson Uwujaren, made this known to   one of our correspondents in a telephone interview in Abuja on Tuesday.

Nigeria president meets relatives of schoolgirls held hostage

ABUJA: Relatives of the Nigerian schoolgirls kidnapped by Boko Haram 100 days ago met with President Goodluck Jonathan on Tuesday for the first time since the girls were seized.

The much anticipated meeting comes amid reports of a worsening security crisis in the northeast, where Islamists have occupied the town of Damboa and surrounding areas, with the military so far unable to chase them out.

2 Die in Ilorin as Customs men, smugglers clash

The crisis which led to the dead of 2 person was caused by vehicle dealers.

Roads leading to the Customs headquarters were blocked by armed Police officers.

There was pandemonium in Sawmill area of Ilorin, yesterday, as a result of a bloody clash between men of the Nigeria Customs Service and vehicle smugglers which allegedly led to the death of two persons.

The Kwara State Police Command, however, said only one person died in the incident.

Sawmill area is populated by vehicle dealers.
