Six suspected kidnappers paraded by DSS in Ebonyi

SIX persons suspected to be kidnappers were, weekend, paraded by the Department of State Services, DSS, Ebonyi State Command.

The suspected kidnappers were those who allegedly abducted and killed former Coordinator of Okposi Development Centre in Ohaozara Local Government Area, Mr. Ihebunandu Okorie, in March.

Wives, children stop military trucks conveying soldiers to fight Boko Haram

►Hundreds of women and children weekend forcefully stopped military trucks from conveying their husbands and fathers to the Boko Haram-seized Gwoza by locking the exit gates of a barracks in Borno State, demanding quality fighting equipment for the soldiers.

►Scores of soldiers have been killed by Boko Haram in Borno State in the last few months, and many blame the inferior weapons Nigerian troops are equipped with to fight brutal insurgents.

Ebola: Don't worry over Saudi Arabia’s visa suspension for W-Africa — Moslem leaders

Some leaders of the Nigerian Muslim Community has called for caution over the reported ban by Saudi Arabia on pilgrims from West African countries, following the death in that country of a patient, who contracted the Ebola Virus Disease, EVD, while he was on a business trip to Sierra Leone.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Wednesday, reportedly suspended pilgrimage visas for West Africa sub-region after World Health Organisation, WHO, and Saudi authorities confirmed the infection from tests that were conducted on samples from the victim.

FG commences remodelling of railway stations nationwide

►The Federal Government has commenced remodelling of existing railway stations across the country through Public Private Partnership, PPP, initiative.

►Disclosing this in Abuja during a visit of the body of Permanent Secretaries, Minister of Transport, Senator Idris Umar said that  the Federal Ministry of Transportation is focused on its mandate particularly in respect of the country’s railway system.

Seven-Year-Old Boy Burnt To Death In Lagos

►Tragedy struck, yesterday in Lagos, as a 7-year-old boy was burnt to death in an inferno that engulfed a two-storey building at the Lagos State Property Development Corporation Housing Estate, popularly called the Ijaiye Low Cost Housing Estate, Agege Local Government, Lagos.

►Also, a storey building at 24, Glover Road, lkoyi and 42 shops at Ojodu Market, Ojodu, Local Council Development Area, LCDA, Lagos State were razed over the weekend,  leaving property worth millions of Naira destroyed.
