LASU School Fees Protest: "We're Being Victimized now

Students leaders in the South-West of the country, yesterday claimed students who participated in the agitation against increase in Lagos State University, LASU tuition fees were being victimized by the institution management.

Under the aegis of National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS, South West, they alleged this while presenting certificate of commendation to Fashola at the State House, Alausa, Secretariat, Ikeja.

Presbyterian Church institutes Fund on Chibok girls

►The Presbyterian Church of Nigeria has announced that in keeping with the Church’s spirit of Christian charity and in support of  President Goodluck Jonathan’s initiative in setting up a special Fund in aid of victims of Boko Haram insurgency and other social upheavals, the Church has set up a Fund toward the rehabilitation of the Chibok girls when they are eventually rescued.

►In a communiqué issued at the end of its biennial General Assembly meeting held in Calabar, Cross River State, the Church felt worried by the experiences the girls were passing through and the psychological trauma that could befall them when freed. The Fund would serve as the Church’s contribution toward rehabilitating the girls and making them to fulfill their divine destinies.

Oshiomhole: No Apology to APC Decampees???

GOVERNOR Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State, yesterday, said that he has no apology to tender to those who decamped from the All Progressives Congress, APC, to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, adding that he will never share the state resources, meant for development to satisfy few leaders.
