2015 Elections: 15 political parties, 5 presidential candidates threaten boycott over card readers
Fifteen political parties and five presidential candidates participating in the forth coming elections, yesterday, opposed the proposed use of card readers in accrediting voters by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, in the elections.
The aggrieved parties and candidates, said the use of the electronic devices would not only be against the 19Card-Readers199 Constitution but also the 2010 Electoral Act (As amended) which proscribed electronic voting in the country.
Fuel scarcity to ease weekend - FG
The Federal Government, yesterday, assured Nigerians that the current fuel scarcity witnessed across the country will ease off before weekend, even as major petroleum marketers said they have deployed 495 truckloads of petrol, with a minimum capacity of 33,000 litres each to Lagos and Abuja.

Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose yesterday said that President Goodluck Jonathan has the prerogative power to ask the chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Prof Attahiru Jega to proceed on terminal leave, saying members of All Progressive Congress, APC, who are opposed to this have their own agenda.
Fayose who described the rantings of APC and their sympathizers as mere comedy, advised them to stop acting as if Nigeria belongs to the party.
