No sight of Chibok girls in liberated areas – COAS

Hope dimmed, yesterday, on the rescue of abducted Chibok girls from Boko Haram terrorists as the Chief of Army Staff, General Kenneth Minimah, declared that despite the liberation of some towns and villages in Borno, Adamawa and Yobe States, the troops have not been able to establish the whereabouts of the schoolgirls.

Addressing State House correspondents after the National Security Council meeting in Abuja, Minimah, however, expressed the hope that as more of the territories are recovered the girls may still be found.

3 Suicide Bombers Die In Failed Jakana Attack

Three suicide bombers died on March 15, Sunday, as as result of their failed attack in Jakana, Borno state.
Daily Trust reports with reference to the security sources that the men died as they tried to attack the soldiers of the 212th battalion who were conducting stop and search operations.

The witnesses disclosed that a man, aged about 20, and two girls, approximately 13 and 14, approached the checkpoint around 11am with explosives strapped to their bodies.
