Fire Guts Popular Market In Lagos State

A fire has burnt down parts of the Oko Baba Sawmill in the Ebute Meta area of Lagos state and destroyed property estimated at millions of naira.‎
A correspondent of Black Box learnt that the fire, which began around 2am on Tuesday, was caused by the stub of a cigarette thrown into the sawdust.

APC Drags Fayose To NHRC, ICC

The All Progressives Congress in Ekiti state has urged the National Human Rights Commission and the International Criminal Court in The Hague, Holland, to prosecute Governor Ayodele Fayose.
 According to The Punch, the party accused the governor of making inciting broadcasts on the state radio and television by urging his supporters into “an act of rage and violence” to attack the 19 APC lawmakers in the Ekiti State House of Assembly thus preventing the lawmakers from performing their constitutional duties.

Another fire outbreak hits Bayelsa oil trunk line

Another leak/fire was reported on April 20 on the Kolo Creek–Rumuekpe trunk line in Bayelsa State, where an excavated ditch was discovered at the fire point, about 5kms from the manifold operated by Shell Petroleum Development Company, SPDC.
Meanwhile, the Joint Investigation Visit, JIV, at the Kolo Creek Manifold spill in Bayelsa State, which occurred on April 15, 2015, has attributed the leak to sabotage.

Xenophobic attacks: 8 Nigerians want to return home – Consul General

Nigeria’s Consul General in South Africa, Amb. Uche Ajulu-Okeke, said on Wednesday that eight Nigerians have so far  indicated interest to return home due to xenophobic attacks.

APC leaders set for crucial meeting over zoning of key national offices

Some leaders and elders of the All Progressives Congress will on Wednesday hold a crucial meeting in Abuja to review the party’s performance in the just-concluded general elections.
The National Chairman of the party, John Oyegun, confirmed the meeting in a telephone interview with Chat212 on Tuesday.

He said the party would hold its National Executive Committee meeting next week.
