Boko Haram Ambush 850 Soldiers In Kogi

►About 850 soldiers shortlisted for a counter-terrorism course at the Nigerian Army Training Centre in Kontagora, Niger State narrowly escaped death when they were ambushed by suspected members of the outlawed Boko Haram islamist sect.

►Four of them were however seriously injured in the incident which took place at a location between Okene and Lokoja, Kogi State on Sunday night.

The Minister of Education, Mallam Ibrahim Shekarau, said on Monday that the May/June 2014 West African Senior School Certificate Examination results of the abducted Chibok schoolgirls were ready.

The over 200 girls were abducted in April when members of the Boko Haram sect invaded the Government Secondary School, Chibok in Borno State.

Three NATO soldiers killed in Kabul suicide car bomb

A Taliban suicide bomber rammed an explosives-laden car into a NATO convoy close to the US embassy in Kabul on Tuesday, killing three soldiers and wounding at least 13 Afghan civilians.

Police to deploy sniffer dogs to help locate trapped victims at Synagogue building

►Police Force said it would be deploying sniffer dogs to the Synagogue Church
►NEMA said the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, has ordered the release of five dogs  for emergency response.

The Nigeria Police Force said it would be deploying sniffer dogs to the Synagogue Church of All Nation (SCOAN) to help locate trapped victims of the collapse building in the church premises.
