Atiku Abubakar Former Vice President on Wednesday met with President-elect, Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari(retd.), at the Defence House, Abuja.

Although Atiku said discussions held during the brief meeting were private, he told reporters that the All Progressives Congress had the capacity to thrash out issues surrounding the zoning of offices especially at the National Assembly.

Xenophobia: Jonathan, Zuma In Talks To Resolve Diplomatic Crisis

The incumbent President Goodluck Jonathan and his South African counterpart, President Jacob Zuma had a telephone conversation over the xenophobic attacks on Nigerians residing in South Africa.

According to a statement released on Thursday, April 30, by the South African presidency, both leaders restated the necessity for their countries to work together.

It was reported that Zuma spoke by telephone with Jonathan on the need not to let the recent attacks on some Nigerians and their businesses create a diplomatic crisis between the two countries.
