AMAECHI FINALLY OPENS UP ON BUHARI CONVERTING HIM TO ISLAM

According to report from the News Agency of Nigeria,NAN, the minister disclosed this on Wednesday during the Valedictory Service of the Federal Executive Council held at the Presidential Villa in Abuja. The former number one citizen in Rivers State disclosed that he was chased out of Christ the King Catholic Church in 2014 because he was supporting President Buhari, who according to some feelers is on a mission to Islamise the country.

“Mr. President, let me thank you for not converting me to Islam. I say that specifically because in 2014 when I walked into Christ the King Catholic Church, I was literally chased out of the church as a governor because I was accused of supporting a man whose agenda was to Islamise Nigeria.

“And in Rivers state they began to call me `Alhaji Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi’. I thank you because they have dropped the `Alhaji’ and back to Mr Chibuike Amaechi,’’ He stated.

The former number citizen in Rivers State disclosed that some people thought President Buhari is a dictator but he proved them wrong by turning to an “extreme democrat’’.

“I was told in the course of the campaign that you were autocratic and therefore you would not be democratic.

“Most of us are not happy that you have moved from your autocratic nature to an extreme democrat that everything puts to test of the people, to the extent that the people now feel that the only way things can go on in this country is by the rule of law.

“We all know that the rule of law is the beginning and the end of this government. Talking about the financial impunity that we saw before, people were making money without having any productive capacity for that,’’ the minister disclosed.Image result for Amaechi at FEC

Why President Buhari scored the Senate President Saraki and Speaker Dogara low

According to News Men, President Buhari scored the Senate President Saraki and Speaker Dogara low on patriotism due to some things he said the two leaders did.

President Buhari said “I think a culture was developed at the National Assembly; that they should dictate the terms which I believe was wrong. It is the executive that dictates the terms and take it before the legislature to examine it and agree or disagree with it. But when they go around posing that they are the government, not the executive, then that is the problem.

Balarabe urged members of the public to disregard the order, adding that “IPOB has no power to declare a public holiday’’.

Shuaibu pointed out... he said, were lacking in the 2019 elections under Oshiomhole

These, he said, were lacking in the 2019 elections under Oshiomhole. He stated, “Under normal circumstances, when you take over as a project manager, it is expected that you bring to bear your wealth of experience to the new job which will be seen in your capacity and capabilities as value addition. In a political party like the APC, you are expected to also introduce a new approach to strategies through committees that will work and submit recommendations to you towards improving on the current fortunes of the party.”

Shuaibu added, “It is my honest opinion that your ability to ensure this party flourishes is deficient as you lack the necessary composure and you also don’t possess the capabilities and the requisite experience to run a political party. The respect the APC was commanding among its members and sympathisers has been completely eroded, while the goodwill has equally evaporated with the type of attitude of threats to members you deploy, including senior members such as governors, senators, ministers and other government officials whose functions do not fall within your jurisdiction.”

“As I know, the relationship between the party and government are cooperation and collaboration to ensure that government programmes are implemented in line with the party manifesto, but not shouting and giving marching instructions to government officials on television screens or on the pages of newspapers, and more often than not, they call your bluff and make you look helplessly unimportant in the scheme of things.”

So far, Oshiomhole has not reacted to this recent call for him to resign by his own deputy. The call by Shuabu for Oshiomhole to resign has been greeted by mixed reactions from party members. While some loyalists of Oshiomhole are said to be kicking against it, some other members support the position taken by Shuaibu.

Before we left INEC

“Before we left INEC national headquarters on Friday, information has link to Rochas Okoroch that the commission has withdrawn 25 certificates-of-return from the first owners to their new owners following court orders to do that,” he said.

Okoye lauded the media for its openness and “robust engagement” with the commission before, during and after the election, adding that the media had become critical stakeholders for the success of future elections.

He said the media had become the first line of reach of the masses as well as a platform for the explanation of INEC political and electoral decisions.

Okoye called on the media and its practitioners to dig deep into the electoral act to ensure that the import of the recently amended sections is made known to the public.

“The media should also center on the aspect of using Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) to resolve electoral issues especially at the party levels instead of going to the court,” Okoye said.
