Detectives in Ondo State have arrested an 18-year-old boy, Kayode Amimi, who led a five-member gang to rob a family in Akure, the state capital.

They were said to have carted away properties worth N240,000, some quantity of recharge cards, laptops and N20,000 in cash.
Following complaint by the victim, who alleged that the suspects invaded his house with dangerous weapons, detectives swung into action.
A month after, detectives reportedly picked up the leader of the team of 2, Eleye Street, Akure, following a tip off.
Police source said the leader has confessed the commission of the offence.
Items recovered from his residence include 32 different handsets, two laptops, three I-pads and memory cards.
Meanwhile, two other suspected bank fraudsters have been arrested while trying to withdraw N2.8 million from a customer’s account.
The suspects, Alex Ayodeji Solomon and Adetomiwa Henry, came to a bank in Akure with intent to fraudulently withdraw the amount from an unknown customer’s account.
They reportedly came to the bank with a withdrawal slip of the said amount.
Detectives who laid ambush in the bank following report from the bank, swooped on the suspects and subsequently arrested them.
Police report said they had confessed that they were fraudsters.
Contacted, the imagemaker of the state Police Command, Wole Ogodo, confirmed the arrest of the teenage robber.
