FINALLY REVEALED! Why Buhari refuses to meet with Saraki
Again, the effort of the Senate President, Senator Bukola Saraki, to formally meet with President Muhammodu Buahri has been resisted.
A reliable source said, Bukola, ever since his controversial emergence as the Senate President against his party choice of Senator Ahmed Lawan, had been willing to meet with President Buhari, but the later had practically avoided him.
The source said, President Buhari is not happy with situation surrounded Bukola emergency as the Senate President. Though President had promised to work with anybody that emerge winner of the election, he however was not pleased with the process in which the election was conducted, especial with the emergence of an opposition(PDP) member, Senator Ike Ekweremadu, as the deputy president of the Senate.
It added that, the Senate President only had the opportunity to with the President of Nigeria during All Progressive Congress, APC National Executive Council meeting, and that was the first time the both had met his (Saraki) emergence as the President of the Senate. The handshake the two exchanged during the meeting was just for the journalist.
Meanwhile, Bukola has been looking for opportunity to have a meeting with the President. He had even begged some prominent leaders, like the former president of Nigeria, President Olusegun Obasanjo to plead with Buhari to give him audience.
Another source close to the Presidency said, President Buhari and Senator Bukola are purely on official communication presently. As Buhari had rightly said, he would not involve himself in the affairs of the legislature. So the President is avoiding any personal relationship with the Senate President, pending the time the crisis at the National Assembly would be formally resolved.
