Getting in on the action - Obama said in the video, shared by Clinton this afternoon on her Twitter account, 'I have seen her judgment. I've seen her toughness. I've seen her commitment to our values up close.
'And I’ve seen her determination to give every American a fair shot at opportunity, no matter how tough the fight - that’s what's always driven her, and still does.'
Clinton immediately got into a fight - with Donald Trump.
Within minutes of the Obama endorsement, her rival tweeted that she he simply wanted 'four more years of Obama'.
Clinton's official account was almost instant in its reaction: 'Delete your account.'
Getting in on the action, Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus responded to Clinton with a jab related to her email scandal, 'If anyone knows how to use a delete key, it's you.'
Trump, who met today with Priebus in New York, chimed in, 'How long did it take your staff of 823 people to think that up--and where are your 33,000 emails that you deleted?'
The exchanges on Twitter are in keeping with the new energy Clinton is expressing in attacking Trump.
At a victory speech on Tuesday after she won the popular vote in the Democratic primary Clinton called Trump a 'bully' and said he is 'unfit' for office.
Obama did not mention Trump directly in his endorsement of Clinton.
