After Court Granted Him Bail: DSS Whisks Nnamdi Kanu Away

SHOCKING: DSS Whisks Nnamdi Kanu Away [Details]

The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu, has been whisked away by operatives of Department of State Services (DSS) and the Nigerian Prisons Service after he was granted bail by a Federal High Court in Abuja.

Nnamdi Kanu and the other three accused persons were taken in a green prison vehicle escorted by four other black hilux vans.

Although, it is still unclear when the bail conditions will be perfected by the IPOB leader, reports have it that Kanu’s relatives left immediately to make arrangements for the release the IPOB leader.

The Federal High Court had earlier ruled that IPOB leader provides three sureties one of who must be a serving senator, a jewish religious leader and highly respected person and must own a landed property anywhere in Abuja as part of his bail conditions.

Kanu has been remanded in Kuje Prison pending when his bail conditions will be met.

Oriental Times gathered that the bail bond was put at N100 million for each surety. The judge presiding over the case, Justice Binta Nyako, also ordered Kanu never to grant any press interview pending the outcome of his trial.

He is also expected not to be in a gathering of more than 10 persons. Justice Binta Nyako noted that Kanu’s bail will be revoked if any of the orders are flouted.
