Shocking Confession - All Documents Wike Gave Me To Blackmail Amaechi Were All Forged
A shocking revelation came out over
the allegation that Mr Chibuike Amaechi,former Governor of Rivers State and current Minister of Transportation over the looting of N70Billion as the arrow head behind the allegation and Coordinator of the Integrity Group, Mr Livinstone Wechie has confessed that all the documents he used in accusing Amaechi were all Forged.
Recall that prior to the screening of Mr Chibuike Amaechi as Minister by the Nigerian Senate,Senator Representing Rivers East in the National Assembly had presented a Petition on behalf of the Integrity Group accusing Rotimi Amaechi of looting N70Billion belonging to the Treasury of Rivers State when he was Governor of the State.
The Integrity Group, IG, had in 2016 requested the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, as well as the Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offences Commission, ICPC, to investigate the immediate past governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi for embezzling over N70bn.
The group had disclosed that the money allegedly embezzled by the now Minister of Transport was generated from secret sales of state owned assets while he was in office as Rivers governor.
IG, in a statement by its coordinator, Livingstone Wechie, stated that it was armed with documents that implicates Amaechi as defrauding the state.
It alleged that Amaechi who had admissibly confessed and not denied these allegations has neither instituted any legal action in any court against his indictment by the Justice George Otakpo Omereji’s Commission of Inquiry Report as contained in the Government white paper or the Integrity Group documentary backed evidence.
But Speaking on African Independent Television current affiars Programme FOCUS NIGERIA,mr Wechie said all the documents he paraded why accusing Amaechi of looting were all forged document aimed at blackmailing the former Rivers Governor.
” We acted in 2015 beAllllieving that the documents used in fighting Rotimi Amaechi were true, being documents emanating from the Government. Time has played out, we have just realised that those documents were only politically fabricated just to fight and stop Rotimi Amaechi’s appointment”. He Said
