21-year-old who accused man of rape makes a U-turn

A 21-year-old lady has indicated her interest to withdraw a case of rape which is currently before a Lagos Magistrate’s Court, Tinubu, Lagos Island.

In a letter written to the court and signed by her, the lady (name withheld) stated that she wanted the matter withdrawn and settled out of court in view of the fact that the accused person had apologised for his actions.

S’African victims’ relations set to sue TB Joshua

►Two South Africans who lost relatives when a church hostel in Lagos collapsed have told the BBC they intend to sue the General Overseer of Synagogue Church of All Nations, Pastor Temitope Joshua.

►The BBC reported that the two men, who both lost sisters in the collapse, were appealing for more families to come together in bringing a case against the preacher.

Pastor loses wife and four children in fire outbreak in Warri

THE wife of Pastor John Kayode, resident Pastor of Christ Apostolic Church, CAC, Otumara Brach, Warri, Delta State, and four of their children, were yesterday burnt to death when a midnight fire gutted parts of the church at Emiko Close, Angle Part.

The Rivers State Comptroller of Customs car involved in an accident that killed two persons on Ikot Abasi Road, Abak council, Akwa Ibom State, yesterday

 The Comptroller, who allegedly drove himself in his official car marked Customs C D/1 06CS, was said to have attempted to overtake another vehicle in the narrow Abak Ikot Abasi Road when he allegedly crushed two men riding on a motorcycle.
