Tafawa Balewa's Son Drops Presidential Ambition, to support Jonathan

SON of Nigeria’s late prime minister, Alhaji Abubakar Tafawa Balewa, Dr Abdul Jelil who was denied the Presidential forms and vowed to drag the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP to court to seek redress, may have yesterday bowed to pressure to withdraw from the race.

Jhalil Tafawa Balewa who dropped his presidential ambition ahead of December 6 National Convention where President Jonathan would be ratified, however pledged that he would support the candidacy of President Goodluck Jonathan.

Foreign airlines cart away N231billion from Nigeria in 2013 – Mukhtar

The Director General ,Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA, Captain Usman Mukhtar yesterday revealed that foreign airlines are making fortunes in the Nigerian aviation industry while local airlines are still playing from the fringes.

According to Capt. Mukhtar, the foreign airlines made N231 billion in tickets sales in 2013, while domestic airlines made N73 billion in tickets sales in the same year.
