Buhari's one-term plan unfair to North - PDP govs
The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, yesterday rolled out its governors in a concerted attack on the All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential candidate, Maj-Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (rtd), warning among others that Buhari planned to serve only one term and derail rotation between North and South.
The PDP governors, who converged on Lagos from their respective states, dismissed Buhari’s reputation as an anti-corruption crusader, affirming him as a willing collaborator in the human rights and financial abuses that characterised the Sani Abacha era.

Works minister laments non release of N230bn allocation
Minister of Works, Mike Onolememen, yesterday, said the non-release of N230 billion budgetary allocation for critical projects has truncated the completion of various road projects across the country.
Of the sum, N219.5 billion is for highway projects, N10 billion is for engineering design and supervision of consultants while N1.2 billion is for weigh bridges, materials and geotechnical contracts.

The postponed 2015 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME, billed to commence yesterday, nationwide, was again marred by some hiccups over the failure of internet servers as well as failure of the biometric machines to capture candidates’ thumb-prints and other data at some centres.
Another controversy which emerged was the complaints raised by candidates who registered for the UTME in Lagos State, but were posted to neighbouring states of Osun, Ogun and Kwara to write the examinations.
