Pope Francis Commends Economy Under Jonathan’s Watch

Only few days ago, Vatican Radio released a letter by Pope Francis to Bishops in Nigeria to express his closeness to them in prayers as well as addressing issues surrounding the country Nigeria.

The 2nd paragraph of the letter, the pontiff spoke highly of the Nigerian economy which has grown to the largest in Africa in “recent years”, under Jonathan’s watch. Pope Francis wrote:

TAN rally shuts down commercial activities in Lagos

The Transformation Ambassadors of Nigeria, TAN,  yesterday, shut down  commercial activities in major markets across Lagos as a result of its mega rally convened for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential candidate, President Goodluck Jonathan.

The event, which held at the National Stadium, attracted people from all parts of the state including representatives of  professional groups, traders and artisans.

Speaking at the forum, National Vice Chairman of TAN, Dr Ifeanyi Ubah said  the gathering was convened to tell Nigerians that there is no vacancy  in Aso Rock till 2019.

Breaking News: Governor Rochas Okorocha Escapes Death

A major disaster was averted yesterday in Imo state as a pedestrian bridge built by Governor Rochas Okorocha at Heroes’ Children’s Park collapsed while the governor was on the bridge.

According to 247Nigeriannews, the incident happened when the governor stopped over on his way to the Nigerian Union of Journalists Governorship Debate to interact with some students of Development Comprehensive Secondary School, Owerri, who were around the park when he came.

Trouble however started when Okorocha beckoned on the students to climb the bridge so he could teach and inspire them on how to become leaders.

Buhari’s eligibility suit suffers setback as Court adjourned all suits to April 22

A Federal High Court in Abuja has adjourned all the suits challenging the eligibility of presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari,till April 22 and 23, 2015.

Justice Adeniyi Ademola fixed the date after he dismissed applications by two intended parties to join the suit as defendants.
