Boko Haram Has Killed 9 Chadian Soldiers, Wounded 16

The Nigerian Boko Haram sect have killed nine Chadian soldiers and wounded 16 in northeastern Nigeria, the Chadian army has revealed today, Thursday, April 2.

The troops were ambushed by Boko Haram insurgents.

An army spokesperson said the attack on Wednesday took place about 10 kilometres (six miles) from the town of Malam Fatori, which Niger said had been retaken from the Islamist militants by regional forces  earlier this week.

There was tension in Ado Ekiti on Wednesday as the 19 All Progressives Congress lawmakers stormed the Ekiti State House of Assembly to resume legislative duties.

Their return caught workers and the seven Peoples Democratic Party lawmakers loyal to Governor Ayodele Fayose unawares and created tension as officials of the Assembly hurriedly vacated their offices.
