Jonathan rejects amended constitution
President Goodluck Jonathan has rejected the amendments made to the 1999 Constitution by the National Assembly, The Chat212 has learnt.
A top government official who pleaded anonymity told our correspondent on Tuesday that Jonathan vetoed the amendment on Monday.
The official said the decision of the President not to sign the document was because the amendment did not meet the provisions of Section 9 (3) of the 1999 Constitution.

Police declare former Kano State commissioner wanted for electoral crimes
The police in Kano, on Tuesday, declared Musa Kwankwaso, a former commissioner in the government of Ibrahim Shekarau, wanted.
Mr. Kwankwaso is wanted alongside four others who were accused of several offences during Saturday’s gubernatorial elections, the police said.
The police Commissioner, Ibrahim Idris, said 18 people were involved in stealing election materials, burning them as well as carrying weapons.
