PDP chiefs may be expelled over Jonathan’s defeat

The Peoples Democratic Party has begun reviewing its performance in the March 28 presidential election with a view to arriving at what caused the defeat of President Goodluck Jonathan.

APC Fear of controversial As Obasanjo Visit President-Elect Buhari over Ministerial List

Obasanjo Visit President-Elect Buhari

The ex-president Chief Olusegun Obasanjo met with the winner of the presidential poll General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd.) as he arrived in Abuja yesterday, April 20

There were reports that the president-elect came to the Federal State Capital to formally present to Nigerians names of members of the transition committee at a party event to be organised in Abuja.

The committee will work with an equivalent committee from the outgoing administration of the current president, Goodluck Jonathan.

The two, Obasanjo and Buhari, had earlier met in Lagos, where they had a closed-door meeting after General’s victory in the March 28 presidential poll.

The former president recently publicly endorsed Buhari for the presidency after falling out with the incumbent and outgoing president of Nigeria. But later Obasanjo denied supporting Buhari as he said he just wanted a strong leader for Nigeria.

After the meeting the president-elect spoke behind closed-doors with the president of Cote D’voire, Allassane Quattara.
