Radio station bombed in Kogi, 4 dead

Four persons were killed, while several others sustained serious injuries following a bomb attack on a community radio station, TAO FM in Okene, Kogi State, yesterday night.

A source in the town said that the bomb exploded at the radio station, operating on 101.5 frequency, at about 8pm.

Unconfirmed reports said that those killed were mainly security personnel, who might have confronted the assailants as they were trying to deliver their deadly goods.

President-elect, General Mohammadu Buhari may have just started a revenge mission on the African Independent Television, AIT when, yesterday, the security men attached to him barred the station’s correspondent, Tinabeso Bebei from covering Buhari’s functions.
Chat212 gathered that the directive was discreetly given to the correspondent by an official at the Defence House where the crew had gone to cover the visit of Cuban ambassador to Buhari.

It was learned that Buhari’s family had raised security issues which prompted the ban.

Audit Report - At Last!! Jonathan tell Buhari to Probes NNPC From Sanusi, for the Missing $20 billion

A forensic audit of Nigeria’s state oil firm released on Monday confirmed the accusation by Emir Muhammed Sanusi that the NNPC withheld about $20 billion that it ought to have remitted to the national treasury.

The report ordered released by President Goodluck Jonathan, more than two months after it was submitted by PriceWaterHouseCoopers confirmed that the NNPC illegally expended $18.53 billion on operational costs, kerosene and petrol subsidies, without authorisation from the National Assembly. Part of the money was also withheld by an NNPC subsidiary, without National Assembly authorisation.
