Banks lose millions in daring robbery attack
Dare-devil armed robbers, in commando-style, yesterday, held residents of Ipakodo area of Ikorodu in Lagos hostage for about two hours as they robbed two major banks in the area.
The scene of the robbery operation was just a stone’s throw to Ipakodo Divisional Police station. The policemen, who engaged the armed robbers, were, however, overwhelmed.

Jega Tells Other African Nations To Use Nigeria's Model
Soon to depart, chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Prof. Attahiru Jega, has urged other African Nations to use the Election Risk Management tool for their elections just as he used at the successful 2015 general elections in Nigeria.
Speaking at a workshop organised by the International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance on ERM, Jega recalled how the tool was useful in electioneering processes in Nigeria.

EFCC To Probe Akpabio Over Alleged N108.1bn Fraud
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC has began to probe into the alleged fraud of N108.1billion of Akwa Ibom funds by former Governor Godswill Akpabio.
This comes after a petition was sent to the office of the commission by one Abuja based lawyer, Leo Ekpenyong who called on President Buhari and the EFCC to look into the alleged looting Akwa Ibom state treasury.
According to reporters, Leo Ekpenyong is not the only one seeking probe of the former governor, some state indigines are also demanding for the investigation of the PDP man.

Sunny Akanni, a lawyer from Kaduna state, has threatened to drag President Muhammadu Buhari to court if he failed to appoint ministers from each of the 36 states of the federation.
The lawyer stressed that it would be a gross violation of the Nigerian constitution if the president failed to appoint ministers to represent each state.
