Buhari Observes First Jumaat Prayer Inside Aso Rock

President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday, June 26 observed his first Jumaat prayer inside Aso Rock.

Buhari joined muslim faithful for the Jumaat service which was the first time it will be held in the presidential villa.

The Friday prayer which was led by the State House Chief Imam, Abdulwaheed Suleiman also had some of Buhari aides and workers in attendance.

Oyegun should resign immediately, says APC Watchdog

The All Progressives Congress Leadership Watchdog (ALW) has called for the immediate resignation of Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, the national chairman of the APC.

In a press statement issued by Johnson Yusuf, national coordinator of ALW, it stated that the inability of Oyegun to manage a progressive party such as the APC was the reason why the body is calling for his resignation.

Jega, 6 INEC commissioners bow out Tuesday

Following the expiration of his five-year tenure, the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Prof. Attahiru Jega, is set to vacate office Tuesday.


A statement issued by the Public Affairs Department of INEC said that Jega, who hails from Kebbi State, is to bow out of office with six National Commissioners who were appointed the same day with him by former President Goodluck Jonathan in 2010.
