Two suicide bombers kill 5, injure 5 others in Borno market

Borno State police command said yesterday two suspected Boko Haram suicide bombers attacked the Sabon Gari village market in Damboa local government area, killing five persons, including the suspects, and injuring five others.

The suspects, according to the police, detonated the Improvised Explosive Devices, IEDs strapped to their backs in the market square on Tuesday at 11am.

Sabon Gari is in Sambisa Forest on Maiduguri-Biu road; and is150 kilometres south of Maiduguri, the state capital.

Building Collapse: Court indicts Joshua’s Synagogue church, says aircraft not cause of collapse

After 10 months of sitting, the Lagos Coroner’s Inquest into the collapse of a six-storey building belonging to the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), yesterday, in Ikeja indicted the church for “criminal negligence” and recommended that it be prosecuted. 116 people died in the tragic incident.

The court said the Church did not get the necessary permit or approval before commencing  construction of the building.
