B’ Haram: Borno elders want Jonathan charged with genocide

Borno elders on Tuesday asked that former President Goodluck Jonathan be taken to the International Criminal Court of Justice at the Hague to face charges of genocide against the people of the North-East.

A copy of the letter sent by Stephen Keshi to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) over his ‘defamation of character’ has been exclusively obtained by Complete Sports Nigeria.

Keshi was sacked by the NFF under controversial circumstances on July 4th, 2015  with reports claiming he was sacked for his lack of loyalty  to his job.

The big boss according to the letter is requesting a huge  N1 billion in compensation fees from the NFF.

Governor Mimiko Fires Aides, Plans To Re-shuffle Cabinet

The embattled governor of Ondo state, Olusegun Mimiko, has relieved his aides of their appointments.

The sacked aides include his Special Assistants and Senior Special Assistants, ‎who served in various capacities in his administration, Sahara Reporters reports.

Forgery Of Senate Rule: Court Can't Stop Investigation

The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Solomon Arase, has asked a federal high court in Abuja to dismiss a suit filed by Senator Gilbert Nnaji (PDP/Enugu East), seeking to stop the police from investigating the alleged forgery of the 2015 Senate Standing Order.
Responding to Nnaji’s suit on Tuesday, August 4, through a counter-affidavit, Arase pointed out that no court of law has powers to stop the police force from performing its statutory functions of investigating crimes.

APC Trying To Evade Justice, Begs Monarchs, Fayose - PDP

The Ekiti state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has accused the leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC), of running to some notable monarchs and other influential indigenes of the state for help over the murder cases filed against its members.
The PDP alleged that the APC had approached about five first-class traditional rulers in the state to appeal to the governor of the state, Ayodele Fayose in order to evade being brought to book, Punch reports.
