NIGERIA: A military court in Nigeria has sentenced a general to six months in jail for his involvement in one of the army's worst defeats by Boko Haram.

LAGOS, Nigeria (AP) — A Nigerian general has been dismissed from the army and jailed for losing a major battle in which Boko Haram Islamic extremists killed hundreds of civilians, the military said Saturday.

NDLEA arrests man with 108 Automated Teller Machine (ATM) debit cards

Pascal Udeh‎ A 34-year old man suspected to be working for an international criminal organization has been arrested with 108 Automated Teller Machine debit cards.

Pascal Udeh‎ was arrested at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, while he was attempting to board a Qatar Airline flight to China.

The debit cards belong to five commercial banks, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency said in a statement on Saturday.
