We reported earlier that the city of Onitsha was on lock down following mass protests carried out by the  Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), who are calling for the release of their director, Nnamdi Kanu. At the height of the protest, the Niger bridge barricaded and vehicles were refused exit or entry into the commercial city.
