40 illegal refinery camps shut down by JTF

Doctors Strike: Patients groan as FG, doctors’ talks deadlocked

►HOPE for an early resolution of the strike called by doctors working in government hospitals dimmed on Wednesday as a meeting between the Federal Government and the Nigerian Medical Association in Abuja ended in a deadlock.

This is as reports from across the country indicated that the strike embarked upon by the doctors on Tuesday worsened the situation in the hospitals.

The National Information Centre (NIC) has confirmed the arrest of a suspected Boko Haram accomplice and informant, Hafsat Bako. The arrest was confirmed in a post on the Facebook page of the National Orientation Agency (NOA).

Keshi Has Not Resigned, His Contract Expired- Minister of Sports

►Minister of Sports and Chairman of the National Sports Commision, (NSC),  Dr. Tammy Danagogo has described as false the reported resignation of Super Eagles Coach, Stephen Keshi.

►In a statement released by the commission, the minister said ” It is not true that Keshi has resigned. He told me that he never said so, that his contract only expired. I expect the NFF to the needful.”
