Nigeria: 'Good news is'  kidnapped girls will soon be rescued.
Nigeria's National Council of State is promising to deliver "some good news" very soon about more than 200 schoolgirls held captive by Islamic extremists for nearly three months.

The council, made up of past presidents, state governors and leaders of parliament, is "satisfied the security agents know very well where the girls are located," Gov. Godwill Akpabio told reporters at a briefing.

THE World football governing body, FIFA, has suspended Nigeria till further notice after government interfered in the running of football in the country.

The most immediate effect of the ban is that the country will not be entitled to participate in the upcoming FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, coming up in Canada between August 5 and 24, except the suspension is lifted by July 15, 2014.
