S/Africa faults FG’s explanations on seized $9.3m

►South Africa has rejected explanations by the Nigerian government on the $9.3m cash seized from two Nigerians and an Israeli citizen in a chartered private jet for the purpose of procuring arms for the Nigerian intelligence services.

►According to an online news medium, Premium Times, South Africa described as “flawed and riddled with discrepancies,” explanations by the Nigerian government that the money was meant to procure arms.

Adefuye raises alarm over Boko Haram atrocities

NIGERIAN Ambassador to the United States, Professor Ade Adefuye, has alerted the international community to the numerous atrocities committed by Boko Haram terrorists using stolen uniforms of the Nigerian armed forces.

In a statement, yesterday, in reaction to allegations of abuse of human rights by the armed forces, Adefuye said it was important to examine carefully the alleged incidents and authenticate any video footage obtained by the international community.

FIVE out of nine survivors of the dreaded Ebola Virus Diseases, EVD, yesterday, met with Lagos State governor, Babatunde Fashola, and some members of the State’s Executive Council, SEC, where they recounted their experiences.

They include Dennis Akagha, husband of late Justina, a nurse at First Consultant Hospital, Dr Fadipe Akinniyi, Dr. Ibeawuchi Morris, Dr. Adaowa Igowoh and Kelechi Enemuo, wife of late Dr. Iyke Samuel Enemuo, who died of EVD in Port Harcourt.

FG summons Egyptian envoy over airline's ill-treatment of Nigerian passenger
