Boko Haram insurgents attack Cameroon army base, several wounded

Nigerian Boko Haram insurgents attacked a Cameroon military camp near the town of Waza in the north of the country on Monday (Today), wounding several soldiers, an army spokesman said.
Chad, Niger and Cameroon have begun a joint offensive against Boko Haram militants who have killed thousands of people in a bid to carve out an Islamist emirate in northern Nigeria, and have increasingly staged raids across nearby borders.

Unknown Gunmen Kill APC Chairman In Plateau

Reports just reaching us reveal that gunmen on sunday night, February 15, killed the ward chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Kurra Falls of Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State, Rev. Samuel Doro.
Doro was said to have been killed late on Sunday night by some gunmen, who invaded his compound.

Confirming the reports was The Police Public Relations Officer in Plateau, Emmanuel Abuh, who said the police had swung into action to ascertain the circumstances behind the killing.

Breaking News: PDP Expels Obasanjo from the party

The Ogun state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has announced Olusegun Obasanjo’s expulsion from the party.

The chapter made this announcement two hours after former president Obasanjo announced his exit from the PDP, tearing his membership card into pieces today, Monday, February 16.

There were indications that Obasanjo had finally decided to part ways with the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Buhari Justified The Killings After 2011 Elections

A presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (rtd.), ‘justified’ the 2011 post-election violence, saying that the elections were rigged. After Buhari lost to Goodluck Jonathan in 2011, scores were killed during violent riots in the North-West.
