Nigeria coach Stephen Keshi believes his side will not have an easy ride when they take on Ethiopia in their upcoming CAF World Cup play-off.
Nigeria coach Stephen Keshi believes his side will not have an easy ride when they take on Ethiopia in their upcoming CAF World Cup play-off.
The two nations last played against each other in January’s African Cup of Nations, with the Super Eagles needing two penalties to see off their opponents.
And Keshi feels Nigeria are in for more of the same when they meet in Ethiopia for the first leg next month, before a home leg in November.
"The last time we played the Ethiopians it was quite tough and I know when we meet next it's going to be the same thing,'' he said in a statement released by the Nigeria Football Federation.
"All we need to do is to be focused, concentrate and pray for good health for our best players and the rest will be history."
Keshi believes that all of the traditionally-bigger nations will have an uphill struggle in trying to book their places in Brazil next summer.
He said: "I am certain that it will be tough, unpredictable and exciting for both the so-called big teams and the minnows."
