Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

    The Sales Manager will be responsible for both managing and leading the sales team, as well as being personally responsible for lead generation, business development, closing deals and identifying major business opportunities.
    The position is based in Lagos, Nigeria.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

The responsibilities for this office shall include but is not limited to the following:

    Develop a business plan and sales strategy for the market that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability
    Management and monitoring of the distribution network
    Manage day-to-day relationships with outlets in the capital and regions: synthesis of bottom-up information (monitoring and compilation of recruitment and re-subscriptions), top-down communication: communication, information, explanation, motivation.
    Research of new opportunities, estimation of volume and development of detailed plans of increasing company s network of customers
    Developing the internal management procedures with each point of sale to maximize the flow of information
    Analyzing equipment and manpower for each point of sale needs
    Merchandising: deliver to standards or remove points of sale of poor quality
    Track and analyze the results of each point of sale: weekly and monthly status, evolution, objectives
    Studying the possibilities for expansion of the network in non-invested areas (capital and regions)
    Organization of the annual formation of authorized points.

Requirements

JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

    University degree in marketing, sales management and administration
    6-8 years in marketing, sales management and business development
    Strong communication and people skills
    Strong commercial and negotiation skill
    Well organized, meticulous and able to plan and prioritize activities
    Perform well under pressure
    Able to work as an integral member of a team as well as individually
    Fluency in French is compulsory
    Computer literate Microsoft Office Suits
    Post graduate qualification is an added advantage.
