Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho was in Brussels to watch Monaco striker Falcao inspire Colombia to a 2-0 win over Belgium.
The 27-year-old scored the first when he beat the offside trap and curled his shot past Liverpool's Simon Mignolet.
Mourinho is an big admirer of Falcao and may make an offer to tempt him to Stamford Bridge in January. However, both Manchester United and Real Madrid are also interested.
The night didn't all go to plan for Mourinho as he was roundly booed by Belgium fans when his face was shown on the big screen because of the way he has treated Kevin De Bruyne this season.
n a face-off between two potential stars of next year's World Cup, Falcao got the better of the man Mourinho is already in charge of - Eden Hazard - if only because of his decisive strike.
'I still got a hand to it (Falco's strike), but unfortunately it was not enough,' Mignolet said.
'A good match, but they scored, and we were unlucky.'
Colombia have far more than just Falcao, though, and in the 67th Victor Ibarbo proved it, controlling a pass with his right foot in the penalty area before volleying it past Mignolet with his left to put the match to bed.
